Today I read an article from "The Denver Post" about a shooting at the New Life Church in Colorado Springs. A man dressed in all black walked into the church at about one o'clock this afternoon with a rifle. At least four people were shot and their conditions are unknown at this point.
I think it is amazing that even at churches there is violence. As I was looking for an article, five of the top eight stories in "The Denver Post" were about shootings. It seems like violence is a growing problem in our society. People hold in their anger and then take it out on innocent people. There was also a shooting at a Missionary Training Center in Arvada this morning. Somehow we need to find a way to make public areas safer for people. It is so sad that people have to feel unsafe in places that you would think would give them comfort.
This article relates to me because, just Friday, there was an armed bank robbery right near our school. This is also an act of violence that puts many people in danger. It affected everyone in the school although no one was hurt by the robber. This relates to the world because there are shootings and violent situations that occur everywhere in the world on a regular basis.

Sean! Thats so sad about the football player being shot and killed by someone who broke into his house. When I read the article about the person who killed people just because they were Christians. Thats horrible. There really is nothing you can do to stop violence. You can't go to every house and take away their guns, they're just too availanle. Great job!
